About Me
Hello students and parents, my name is Mr. Izaguirre and I want to welcome you to a brand new school year at K. White JHS! I truly hope you all are ready for a really exciting, different, and interactive year. Hopefully, you were all able to rest and are now ready to get to work. I am very excited to get to know each and every one of you and go on this adventure together.
A little bit about myself, growing up in South Texas in a community where people help people, I knew then and there, that I wanted to help and give back to my community. At first, I had no idea how. I graduated from La Joya High School and went straight to University for my education. At first, I went to many different paths until I finally found my calling. Low and behold, my calling was right under my nose as something I loved since a little kid, a teacher.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and just recently received my Master’s of Arts in Bilingual/ESL Education both from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa, TX. I have been a teacher for the Deaf and 7th Grade English Language Arts and Reading both in Odessa, TX.
Recently I just moved back home to the Rio Grande Valley along with my wife who is a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. We are both very excited to be back home and ready for the start of a new adventure.
Even though times are tough, we will get through this together. Despite being new to Mission CISD and KWJH we are in this together! We are #HAWKSTRONG even from a distance!
